Join

At Hikarikan Aikido beginners and indeed experienced martial artists, are welcome at any time. We do not hold beginner specific classes as the fundamentals are taught during every class, thereby allowing beginners to join at any stage.

If you are interested in joining us please just turn up at one of the venues and take part. You do not have to commit to joining. All that is required is that you complete a British Aikido Associaton form for insurance purposes, though you are not required to join the BAA immediately. If you decide you like aikido, after three weeks you will need to join the British Aikido Association. This costs £30 per annum and provides personal indemnity insurance and is also required for grading purposes. You can get the form from the BAA website: http://www.aikido-baa.org.uk/membership

Weekly classes are usually £5, unless stated otherwise, and are paid on a pay-as-you-go basis.
